Extemporaneous examinations

This histological and/or cytological examination is carried out as an emergency during surgery in order to adapt the surgical procedure to the characteristics of the pathologies revealed during the operation and/or to ensure the non-malignancy or non-infiltration of the resection margins. This technique is based on the realisation of frozen sections stained with HE obtained over a very short period (a few minutes).
